Sommaire en anglais
The leek moth, Acrolepiopsis assectella, is an invasive alien species from Europe which has become established in eastern Ontario and parts of Quebec and is continuing to expand its range. Leek moth larvae cause damage to onions, leeks and garlic when they penetrate the young leaves and flowers of the crop in order to feed. This feeding weakens and withers the plant reducing the value of the crop, and in some cases rendering it unmarketable.
