The annual U.S. trade advocacy kit folder campaign highlights the importance of the agricultural trading relationship between Canada and the U.S. through Canada-State fact sheets, fact sheets highlighting the importance of NAFTA and our combined industries' international competitiveness, etc. This year, AAFC underwent an evaluation of the current kit folders to ensure messaging continues to resonate in light of the current U.S. environment (e.g. attention on NAFTA, job numbers, supply chains).
The purpose of creating such a communications package is to provide up-to-date and relevant information on the importance of Canadian agricultural trade to the U.S. for officers making representations to political representatives, U.S. companies, industry associations, etc. This campaign is a crucial component of AAFC's advocacy strategy, and is complimentary to work done by DFAIT and other NAPP partners in achieving our advocacy goals in the U.S.
