The AgriRecovery Framework was implemented as a national agricultural disaster relief strategy in 2006. The federal share of this federal-provincial-territorial (FPT) Framework is administered under Agriculture and Agri-Food Canadas (AAFC) Business Risk Management (BRM) suite of programs, by the Agricultural Disaster Relief Program (ADRP). While other BRM programs are designed to address production and income losses, AgriRecovery is focused on helping affected producers with the extraordinary costs necessary to recover from natural disasters and resume business operations as quickly as possible.
