The best weed control is a good turf management program. Applying herbicides is not difficult, however the risks and precautions involved in mixing, using and storing chemical, especially in yards were children and pets play, are unacceptable for many people. Minimizing both hand labour and herbicide use is possible by managing the lawn so that the grass controls the weeds. Healthy grass is tough, resilient and can out compete most weeds.
